Again in the evening he sleeps from 8 to 11.Then he is fresh & doeant sleep till 4 in the morning.

I tried to change his sleep time in the day but he gets cranky & dozes off even if he is sitting.PLease help i dont know what to do.I am an working mom & this is taking a toll on me.Also i dont have nayone to help me at home

I tried sending him to playschool from 9-12 in the morning, he was awake for a week or so in the mornings , but later has started goin to sleep.
Any idea/Suggestions on what can be done?
Thanks in advance,

hi,iam also suffered a lot about that same problem.but finally i came out from that.what u can do is let ur kid sleep well for 2 hours in afternoon at 2 to 4.after that take him somewhere where he likes to play.and make him to go bed at 11' o clock.if he wants to sleep in the evenings let him sleep only 15-20 minutes.after that wake him up.what i do to wake up my baby is play one song which she likes in the laptop and sit beside her.she likes laptop very much.so that she dont cry after i disturbed her.she starts playing and dancing to that song.Other wise u can take him out.children generally likes to watch dogs and animals.show him.dont let him to sleep after 6' o clock in the evening.all the best

Hey,
Even my son of 6 months was not sleeping for past one week.It was getting very difficult for me to go to work in the morning.Since it is very hot rite now at my place,I wiped my baby with the baby wipes dipped in cold water. It worked for me yesterday as the baby slept well.Take proper precautions ,as the baby should not catch cold.

Thanks,
Yogini

Ravina,
Sometimes it helps if you go to a friends place who have kids at the time he is getting sleepy. Engaging with other kids will probably keep him awake so that he can eventually sleep at the righ time..

Hi ,
I can understand your situation perfectly...it gets so frustrating at times...Aarav doesnt like to b rocked to sleep..whenever he is sleepy he simply gets his blanket..indicating he wants to sleep..we have never rocked him to sleep..i jus lie down next to him & theis fellow turns over & sleeps.I cannot force him to sleep....he starts yeloing & at 2 in the morning that is the least what u want to hear..SImilarly if he is sleepy he mus sleep..I have tried everything to keep him awake....Walk outside...neighbours kids during afternoon...he want to play but dozes off inbetween....My only hope is this phase will pass on...

Ravina,

u can ask the daycare people to try to make your child sleep around 4pm in the evening. how do you make him sleep ? if you usually make him sleep by rocking him, then you can ask the daycare people to do so at around 4pm. initial few days may be difficult. but he will get into the routine slowly. that way he will sleep in the night around 10-11pm.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
