Hi Archie,

I have a query about sugars. I had GDM in my first pregnancy and so thought of monitoring sugars from early on this time. I am noticing that some foods like rice and burgers/fries make my sugars shoot up (reading are generally 8.2 - 8.5) after 2 hours if I eat any of these. But in most websites it is mentioned that GDM only starts in third trimester.

Could I be checking too early. Most of the time becos of this I am not sure what and how much to eat. My hubby says I seem to be losing weight bcos of food control. Please tell me what you think. I am in my 11th week now.
