Congrats to you all. I am due in July. I have joined the July club but it seems everyone in quite busy and there is not much activity going on in our club.so i thought i should jump over a new club i hope August Moms will not mind :)

I wanaa share my baby shower experience and also helping u out from your queries as u know i m One month older than u in my pregagnancy period so i know all the worries and question which occured on my mind reagarding to Baby movement and about sleeping positions
now lets start my story

I thought Baby shower experience is very attractive for all of us... as I m enter in a 7th Month ... and u all r in six month and u also have only one month to go for this baby shower

I m Muslim but in our culture baby shower is celebrated on 7th month and i think in Hindus .. they are also celebrate this ....
MY mother-in-Law arranged everything for that and my baby shower was on 27th april (sunday) she gave me a nice green colour suit(which she gave me one week earlier) as in our custom we have to wear Green dress so i decided to buy the green suit rather than sari as u know all .. now a days Summer is on our head and in shalwar kurtaa i feel comfortable .....i applied mehndi in my both hands one day b4 that is on 26th april
in the morning i wokeup early took the shower and got ready as all my guest have to come b4 12 noon and at about 10:30 am all my realtives came and my mom gave me coconut cover with green papper and Mithai(sweet)
along with some money(in cover) :) and one suit and then after that all my relatives came one by one .. give me small sweet and money :)hey photographer was also there (MY Hubby) heheheh
then we all had a good lunch
That was really a nice experience cos i think in a woman life and specially for the first time MOM this is a really a joyful momnet as u feel that Now u r a MOM :) and a mature women:)

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the board. Certainly you are welcome to share your toughts/feelings with us (August mommies) and discuss all pregnancy/baby related matters.
It's definitely a nice feeling to get a baby shower done for you. while reading yours I remembered my baby showers I got from my friends and collegues with my first pregnancy. (This time I am expecting my second child due in August and that's how I got in here.)
During the seventh month, my friend called me for her home for lunch and as that day was an auspicious day (hindu festival day) I dressed up so nicely and went to temple and then went to her home. There I saw all my other friends as well and they all gathered there to give me a surprise baby shower!!. They put me bangles and gave haldi, kumkum. Also they all together have bought us some gifts like the babyseat, baby stroller etc. Last but not least, nice food with good desserts. Wow, wasn't that a wonderful feeling or waht?!
