Hi all, I have not been regular here for past couple weeks. Here is update -

My NT scan data came out good but NOT the blood test. HCG was elevated which indicates likelihood of down syndrome in baby. I am getting amniocentesis tomorrow, will come to know results in couple weeks.

This test results will indicate if everything is fine with baby or I get to decide if I want to continue with pregnancy. Either way it is fine by me as quality of life for the baby is important for me.

I am in Mumbai, so amnio will be done here.

As CK said, u need adequate rest after amnio. Hope you hv someone to take care of you.

Do inform all of us, once you hv recovered. Do not worry have complete faith in God. Everything will be fine.

Perky ck replied. After the amnio test is done you will start getting contractions. Just take good bed rest for 2-3 days. If you are under 35 and you don' t have any kids mental/physical retardation history in both sides, your results are going to be normal. So don' t worry, everything will be fine. I wish you good luck and pray for the wellness of your baby.

PS: Even then these NT/blood tests are all man-made, they can be erroneous too. You can take second opinion with blood test before deciding anything with the baby after amnio results.
