In my husbands family, two years ago, all(including my m-i-l & s-i-l) shaved their heads in tirupathi. I also personally liked to get my head shaved there while watching them. But I said to my husband that I could not since I do not have courage since I was scared of my complete bald look. When I go next time, I will go for a complete tonsure. I wish you enjoy your current look and new hair styles too.

I was reading this interesting article on growing long hair. There is a woman who started growing long hair at the age of 30 and has it mid-thigh length.She had her hair shorter than bob when she started growing it! can u believe it ???

Its inspiring to learn that in a year the hair grows 6 inches long and sometimes even more.

Just because its in the name of religion we have biased views. I think respecting ur husband's views is the most imp and enriching decision. See, he loves u in every style!

u hair will grow back in 1 month's time, once it starts growing , you can style it well in parlours into a trendy sporty look. every one will envy you that time!!!

If it's really a vow, then it seems you have made your bed haven't you? Unless you want to convert to a different religion. Like telling your husband that you take refuge in Khalsa. Seems late for that if trip is in September.
I image its an awful thing to go through. I still feel for you. You should research extensions, like I said. Try Invisions. Honestly, I think I should work for them with the way I recommend them.

You do not have to shave your head to prove your believe in God - he already knows you!
Why does your husbond want you to do that - you live in the US now and not India. If your husbond wants a ballheaded wife, he must move back into the village in India!
An average hair grows around 1-1½ centimers a month.
