My daughter is 7 1/2 months old. But,she doesn' t eat properly. She doesn' t ask 4 anything to eat for 5-6 hrs continously.Even after that,if one trys, she is not very much interested in having meals like, khichdi, daliya etc.I have started giving her khichdi in blended form.Even then, she takes only 4-5 tsp of it.Then starts vomitting. She takes cerelac but nothing else except milk(that also in very less quantity).
Plz suggest me how to give her increase her diet.

I waana increase her solids.but how.........
sadaf replied. Hi
I have exactly the same problem as you with my daughter ,she is now 13 months old. She is very underweight for her age only 17 pounds but is very active.my daughetr refused to take any solids till her first birthday she only survived on milk she did not even take cereal ,though i kept trying ,the key is try and try but do not force that only leads to food aversion and we do not want that to happen try to keep her attention distracted from the food while feeding her with a book or toy or anything that works .If she still refuses leave it try after an hour and never try for more than 20 minutes that is long enough time to find out if she wants to eat or not .Again DO NOT FORCE For some kids it s just a matter of time ,i guess, a miracle happened with my daughter the day she turned one , she began eating , not a lot but yes she does eat now when shes hungry she lets me know when she likes something she' ll want more.
Another thing is their taste buds are yet not developed completely so anything other than milk is difficult for them to accept . my advise would be dont fret , keep trying , as soon as she get those first few teeth and her taste buds develop a bit she should start eating .
kruthi replied. hi i did have a same experience with my daughter who is 19months old now. i ddint take it serious when she was 7 months but jus realised it when she was 13 months.
I can share my experience.Pl check if it will help u.
when i realised she was underweight, (she was jus 7.4 at 13 months), i started giving her calorie diet which she too had with fuss. I think that was the biggest mistake i ever made for which she is suffering till now. She too never has an apetite. never asks me for food.
So please dont hurry up, if your daughter is correct weight, active and reaching mile stones on time, i think u should feed her only slowly. Dont please hurry up as it might create problems for babies who dont have a big apetite.
If she has 2 tsp., stop and offer her something else every 2 hours(but only Little).I am sure by the time she is 1 year, i am sure, she will improve. BUT ONE ADVISE, PLEASE DONT EVER TRY DIFFERENT VARIETIES(MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE).
How much is her weight now. Send me her diet shcdule, may be i can help a little bit about her diet.
