My Baby boy who is 5 months, has a peculiar sleeping problem. His BW was 3.3kgs,and now 7.7kgs.
I live UK,I make him sleep in a traditonal indian cloth cradle.I make him sleep at 10.00pm soon after a full formula feed(8oz)and changing his nappy.
He is using pampers size 3(Midi 4-9 kgs).
Immediately after an hour of sleep,he wets his entire clothing(a vest and a sleepsuit) and he wakes up crying aloud, disturbed from sleep.
So even after i change his nappy and clothing or rock him or soothe him,he wont go to sleep.I was forced to give an another formula feed, which he takes only 1 oz and goes to sleep.
Is there anything tat i can do,so tat he doesnt wakes up after an hour of sleep, wetting his entire clothing ??
a)should i need to change the nappy brand??
b)does cloth nappy(Bambino brand) thick material,can b used??
c)Or any other suggestion???
Plz advice me,hetal and friends.

Smrithi

Hetal replied. 1. if the wetness is because of the nappy or diaper you are using,,its quite likely that you will need to change the brand ! alterntly, you can try pamper baby dry or cruisers or some other good brand..
its quite proven that baby with high on nght wets,,are quite comfortbale with them. you can also try usng the size 4,,see if it helps him to handle his wetness,,sometimes some baby bladdr schedules are more thn compard to thr age,,and 5months, and a bm or formula feb baby is just the right candidate.
he is wakng up because of disturbed sleep,,so make sure he sleeps well atleast until he is 6months old...
if the wetness is caused by urintn thn you need to chnge him to a brand that can handle high wetness or use diaprs or you can also use vinyl coverngs that help to keep baby dry aftr wearng diaprs, or nappies..these come in form of liners and when i potty trained my baby,,she was quite comfrtble in them...you just have to place them under the diapers or tag them with nappies..see if you can find them in baby stores,,uk shouldnt be a prob to search for a good brand.
personly i have not used nappy so i am not the right person to ask but you can certainly give it a try,,if the material is of not only thick quality but also is of good quality,,because air circulatn is also neccsry,,you dont want to end up gvng your baby ne kind of probs esp in those private areas...you can surely try that,,,
altrntly, you can change him at night,,reduce the liquid intake after dinner or aftr 8night,and offer bm or formula only.see if that regulates his nght wetng schedules...thats all i can help you with !

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
