My 9 month old son recently has started to scream during diaper changes. He never has done this before and it is so bad that it sounds like someone is hurting him. He also rolls over and tries to get away! He does not have a rash and the only major changes recently are that he has gotten his first four teeth. Not until, one day I changed him in the car and the sun was quite strong outside and thats when I realized that he was developing diaper rash. I used aquaphore lotion for few days after that and since then he has not been crying. He is not fair so it was a bit difficult to see the rashes at the begining. See if thats what is bothering him. In the beginning it was cute, him running away. But now I dread changing his diaper. Don't worry I think every baby goes through it. u r very lucky that ur son screams only when u change his diaper. my son screams when i brush his teeth,bath him,when i try to put his clothes ..etc and the list goes on. but when my husband does the same things he doesnt scream much .the thing i noticed is my husband sings songs ,plays with him while doing them.so try to entertain him while changing diaper.if u hold him tightly to change diaper the more he gets irritated.
