Hi all,
I hope u remmember me..especially Archie u replied my few questions.I had said that i was willing to try for a baby when i come back from India in Jan.
But I have been giving it a thought.Here is the thing.My periods used to be very irregular before i got married ..also till a year of my marriage.Now I get my period a bit more regular i guess every month.I used to get periods after 2 months or so.
But i never worried.This is kind of same in my moms family.And there has never been a case of no one getting pregnant or so.
I have been marking my periods for past few months and the days difference is as

Is this concerning.....
As i have got some knowlegde about the signs of ovulating and all..i am have been watching and i see those signs in me.
The thought that has been going through my mind..that we had thought of waiting for 2 2 1/2 years after marraige and try for a baby.Thinking this way it was in my mind that i will get pregnant in 1st or second month. But going through this msg board i see that it is not so true.It may take more time.So what i was thinking was should i start trying right away so that i can get pregnant in few months atleast.
But again i am worried about the traveling to india too what if i get pregnant in 1-2 months till dec itself before going to india...if traveling will not effect my pregnancy i am willing to start trying now...
See guys i am really confused..please suggest something...

NP replied. forgot to say....there are 80% of chances of getting pregnant while ovaluting & 20 % for rest of day.
& about your trip to india Sk, you can travel until you have the pregnancy of 4 months well they allow you to travel until 7 months, but i would say 4 months because by that time you will have your stomach growing....
& yes archie, i some what agree with you, but there are 80% of chances while ovaluting & 20 for the rest days....SK just trying doing this once....because i know this works very well.

well as you have learned about ovaluting...
that's the way to get pregnant.
& now you have to decide that you want to go to india or you want to get pregnant. & by the ovaluting method, you could surely get pregant, if you go to doctor they will tell you use this method.
& if you cann't get pregnant, then just suppose that you get your period at the interval of 36 days, and you are having sexs with your husband on the 18th day of you period, that means the center of you period time & that time you would be ovaluting & you could trying having sexs for a week & you can get pregnant.
I hope you will be alright & i am not suggesting you this, because i have heard that someone is doing this method...but i know this becuase i am a pharmacists....& if you could tell me that where are you from, then i could suggest you some medicines...

I have decided to wait for coming back from India...and I feal very positively that i will have no problem getting pregnant surely it may take time..which i am willing to do :) ...I am very positive person in life....
Now just to understand my ovulution days as long as i am in US till going to india i am thinking i should just use some OP Kits just to get the knowledge u know(i will not try for pregnancy)...I am right here ? Archie I did not get what u said on CD15 sorry...can u help me in using OP kits..

To be honest with you, you are overly thinking about ttc issue. This is because you have had many concerns in past few weeks, since you decided on ttc. It's normal but this can without your knowledge stress you out and even if all is normal things won't work on time, so stop thinking about ttc at all.
What you must do is go ahead and enjoy your India trip, that's already been planned and once you get pregnant in some cases travelling is totally avoided. So better you meet family and friends back in India before you get in ttc thoughts, I am with Snd here.
No comparison should be made, referring to other's experience! Each one is different and even two pregnancies in same person are different, so no reason to compare with anybody.
The fraction of people appear on this board are way less than 0.00000001% couples those face problems while ttc. So do not judge anything based on posts you read and amount of time couples took to get pregnant. Look at positive cases also, at least 6-7 in last few months.
No need to worry on PCOS at this stage and it won't make it impossible. I recommend any couple to treat as a healthy and normal and try for one year at least before getting in to battery of tests:
I am not with JU for the part that he believes that trying six months does not necessarily enhace chances of getting pregnant as oppose to two months trial. Perhaps JU has a less or minor knowledge about the female reproductive tract and also conception. It sure increases chances. And not that each month couple has 50-50% chances. Statistically yes, because there are only two possibilities either success or failure. But each month couple only has 20% chances to conceive and this increases as body senses actually the fertilization must take place. Many time fertilization takes place but no implantation. Sometime implantation takes place but due to some hormonal or chromosomal aberrations before you know the pregnancy is lost! So one must try for number of cycle to meet hormonal levels essential to implant and continue further.
You don't need to be confused SK. Your cycles are little longer than standard but if they are somewhat regular it's very likely that you will need no help other than OPK. If cycle is more than 35 days start testing from CD15 onward and you will get predictions 24-48 hours before actual ovualtion and the intercourse on the positive and next day is going to add chances of success.

Then finally my wife was diagoned as PCOD case and we had to monitor ovulation. In which case predicting the ovulation time is very difficult with normal knowledge that you have. Just asnwer these questions - are you overweight? do you have unusually more hair on your body? Do you have a paunch near your abdomen? These are the the signs of PCOD including irregular periods. I just want you to remove this possibility first before taking any decisions.
Another thing is that you can first go to india and then try out for baby. If you feel in a two months time you dont have it and then you cannot wait then you can go for follicular monitoring and exact time intercourse wil help getting pregnant.
Logically trying for six month doesnt increase the probability of pregnancy than trying for two months. Every month it is a chance anyways 50 50.

I just happened to browse through this section and read uer message. I am not as experienced as Archie but to my knowledge if u have not been taking pills or u have stopped taking pills(4-6 months before) and u know when u ovulate. And if u have have intercourse during that period(ovulation) there are chances that u might get pregnant. Though its 50-50..So its upto u if u are willing to take up that chance.
Once u concieve its advisable not to travel for atleast first 14-16 weeks and ofcourse if uer doctor feels its ok to travel.
Remember every individual is different..so don't compare uerself with others. If for others it takes 2-3 months to concieve doesn't meant that u should also take that long, for u it might click the very first time u try..
So I would suggest is think about it more deeply. If u feel that u can postpone uer India trip if u concieve then probably u can start trying if not then its wise u wait until u come back.

Dear SK,
The CD15 is the fifteenth day from the day you experience period.
The day you start period is a first day of new cycle, that's CD1.
I don't think you need to try OPK before taking trip to India if not trying. That's not going to be problem but will be just additional expense. As your cycles are somewhat regular and not strictly regular you will hit different results in both cycle, best is not to use till you try.
Keep positive attitude.

about the pills...I have never taken pills...because I was advised in India not to take pills due to my irregular cycles...i did not want to take any risks...
That was the only time i visited a doctor in india after getting married !!!
