Hi all,
Please suggest me if I really need to buy these stuff for me/new born?
1) Thermometer, if so, which type? Ear? What brand?
2) Boppy/nursing pillow?
3) Which one better Bouncer or a swing?

selvi replied. I have got mixed feedback about the boppy. people who have used it love it but others say a pillow was just as fine. I am planning to get one, nothing expensive but from walmart or target. I think you would need the swing and the bouncer since they really entertain the baby. you can use the swing earlier than the bouncer though.

What I am planning to do for myself is to wait till the delivery and then check with the docs in my hospital about the brands on things like a thermometer, medicine dropper etc. I heard that some hospitals do provide this as a gift to new moms so its better u check that out too.
About Boppy... I am planning to get one as I heard from friends that it is very helpful when feeding and it do prevent back aches you get while sitting long time when u feed ur baby. We also had a baby shower and got bouncer & swing as baby gifts. The brand is Graco & First years.

i personally feel there is no nees for a boppy,,
and of the bouncer, i got it as a gift for my baby shower,, if i hadnt got it i would had definelty gone for the swing.. for all you know, i might buy the swing too after the baby is born..
since one normally has a crib out here and not a cradle,, it is good to put a crying baby to soothe down or put to sleep, also a swing/bouncer can be used when you are working in the kitchen but simultaneously want to pay aattention to baby and make it sleep..
