Health Concerns:Swollen Feet during 26 weeks

Dear all please help me. My Gyne is busy today so I am not able to get any reply. I have noticed swollen feet since yesterday. This is my 6 month running and I am first time pregnant. Other than this I dont have any problem, apart from regular leg cramps. Is swollen feet a common problem and not of much concern?

Hi Rashmi,
Swollen feet are quite a common feature for pregnant ladies, after 5th month...so dont worry abt that..

1. You can try taking barley water on a regular basis(dialy once or twice as u wish!!). this will remove the unnecessary water storage in feet, ankles.
2. While you are sitting, make sure to keep your feet on elevation, and not on ground for longer time. this will ease the blood circulation.
3. If u r working, keep moving yourself atleast once in 1/2hr- 1 hr. Dont sit for longer hours.
4. Walk for a while in mornings/evenings talking to ur baby, as it would relax ur mind and it could soothe your legs and u feel better.

Thank you so much for your reply..Your suggestions indeed worked for me. I dont keep my feet on ground for long and that has helped me. Sometimes keeping in warm water and oil massage also helps..:) Thank you once again..take care
