Due Date Club November 2003:Exhaustion

Hi Pals
I am in my 30 th week , do any of you feel very tired , to the extend that you cannot get up from your bed in the morning , and sometimes i am tired that i cannot even change positions in my sleep . I read anaemic could also causes some fatigue and tiredness , wondering if its because of last trimester or something else .

Hi Preethu,

I am in my 28th week and I already feel so tired. Walking around is getting more and more difficult day by day. It's 10 more weeks for you and 12 more for me. Can't wait to get more tired!

Take rest whenever you can. Try adding more protein and iron to your diet, ofcourse lots of water and orange juice too.

Hey Preetu, I am nearly in my 30th week too and am in the same boat as you..
I, however, think that the exhaustion has more to do with being in the third trimester and has little to do with being anemic (did you get it checked???)..
It is the growing stomach and the baby and the increase in blood volume which leads to increase in the work done by our hearts and all the exhaution that comes along with it....
Get rest whenever you can. I read somewhere that we have to take 30 min breaks throughout the day and spend the time lying down on our left.
Like Simmi says, 10 more weeks and then starts the real exhaustion.. :)

Hi Preethu,
Same here.I also feel very tired especially when I walk,I feel as if I am dragging myself.I have checked my hemoglobin which is OK.It is all because we are gaining so much weight in the third trimester.

Hi Preethu. Well, I am nearly in my 30th week too and I have terrible pain in my groins and do get very tired to change positions in bed and get out of bed too. The doc says exhaustion is normal with us gaining most weight in this tremester, it will have its toll on our bodies. So we just have to bear with it for another 10 weeks or so and then be prepared for further exhaustion and sleep pattern will have to follow babies sleep pattern.
I do try to catch up with my sleep over weekends n hoping to rest a little before the baby arrives so I am ready for the hard work.
I do find having refreshing drinks, juice, water etc helps.
