Hi
I am new to this site. I have been married for 17 years and now I am 42 and my husband is 45. Both are employed. For the last 17 years we have tried several medical treatment and failed to conceive and we never thought of adopting a baby. As both are working the time went and now I realised that I have wasted so many years. Whenever I start the topic of adoption my husband never shown interest, I don' t know why. He doesn' t have many friend cirlce and neither our family members advised him to do so. Sometime I feel why only I should think about adoption. Then recently I visited three adoption centers without informing him. when I visited there then I realised how I wasted my time and they informed me that I will not get a baby of 1 year old only I will get a two year baby then also I have to wait for two years. Now I would like to know is it advisable to adopt a baby at the age of 41. I am desparate to adopt. Please help.

Congrats and thats a real encouraging news. I am too trying for a baby for last 10 yrs..Would you please share your experience in the process of adoption, about the time frame and any legal issues involved? what about the medical condition of the child? Do they have the physicians who can determine the health of the child??

Dont loose heart. I believe with out wasting any time you shuld go for adoption. I have recently adopted a baby. Its a blessing pls dont be of two minds just go for it.

Me and my husband are 27 and 30 and we are interested to adopt a baby from south India, especially from Tamil Nadu. But heard that the normal process for adoption will take like 3 years to find a baby. Please let us know if we can directly visit any orphanage and identify a baby ourself and start with the process, pls let us know. Need your advice.
