Due Date Club December 2004:Stretch marks?

My doc has prescribed an anti-stretch marks cream, and I have been using it for the last 1 month...
However, I have itching sensation around the belly button and lower abdomen, and some faint stretch marks have started appearing...is it true that scratching increases the occurrence of stretch marks?

I got some pale lines on my chest. I'm sure these r not green viens but r these stretch marks? Do they generally go away after delivery? They look odd.

Yes Humsa... as per my experience scratching your skin do increase in getting the strech marks. During my last pregnancy I didn't get much of strech marks on my body but I know a few friends who used to scratch their body and have got very dark and prominent strech marks.

Strech marks are bound to apprear on your skin during and after pregnancy but how prominent they will be depends on every individual. Scratching your skin definitley adds to it.

Keep applying some oil (preferably cocnut oil) on your skin to avoid it. Anti strech marks Cream can also be tried.

seems everyone is busy ,busy alot. For me too life is hactic. But i do not forget to take a break in between either a movie or party or go out on weekends. Last 15 days i had all.
