Feedback on Shobha Venkat in handling Labor and delivery
Heard lots of Bad reviews about Manipal, so looking at Cloud nine as other options, Is it good idea to continue with Shobha Venkat and later go Cloud nine for delivery?
Cloud nine setup at old airport road...any feedback..?

I am first time preg wid no one to counsel so need your help badly.. astomar replied. I will suggest you Shobha Venkar any time over Dr. Praveena shenoy as Dr. Shenoy is part of Cloud nine the things has been change they become so money minded and just want to do testes and checkups even though they are not needed. Prefer to see Shobha Venkat to her clinic and not in Manipal as wait time there is really long. Shobha Venkat is good doctor and she is Manipal also so it makes things easier. We had our baby delivered with Shobha Venkat in Manipal and she did a normal delivery even though it was not looking like.
Manipal is not good if you don’t know the doctor they are OK if you know doctor and clear on what you and doctor wants. Yes they are money minded but who is not now days, health care is business these days and they all making money. But i will still say Manipal is still better than cloud 9 as Cloud nine is just cheating their patients.
Dr. Arvind Shenoy is a good doctor and his diagnosis is very good but it does not make his Wife also equally good so please use your own judgment and comfort to decide what is good. xyz replied. hi!!

jst read ur post...thought of replying cause i have experience with both shobha venkat and cloud nine(Dr praveena shenoi will b at cloud nine airport road branch)
my experience with shobha venkat ws really bad.had complications due to an infection she failed to diagnose.i changed to dr.leela bhagwan of Sagar apollo hospital(now she has shifted to cloud nine jayanagar branch).things went fine except that the baby had congenital pneumonia(possibly due to an infection which ws not handled properly).thankfully this ws cured.

for the second child i went to dr praveena shenoy.she is really good.jst talking to her u will feel everything will b alright.she lets u know all the facts outright.nothing hidden.open to all sorts of questions also.i felt totally comfortable with her.she insists on normal births also.her husband is a very famous paediatrition dr.aravind shenoy.both are very able docs and will consult at cloud nine airport road.u cn google these two docs,u will find a lot of reviews.my openion..try out praveena shenoy once to c if she suits u or not... Hope you are progressing well on your pregnancy. I don' t know much about Manipal, but I' d suggest that you avoid Cloud Nine/Cradle like plague. I would not like to go into details about what happened to us, but do understand that we are without our 2nd child today due to the hospital' s negligence. They don' t have a labour ward that enables contant monitoring of the labouring woman, rather they have \" suite rooms\" as though we go to hospitals for a holiday experience. They don' t do a scan when you go in for labour, which is what primarily caused us to be in our grieving situation today.

At this time you should have positive thoughts only, so I would suggest you ask your spouse/friend to ask around about cases where this hospital failed. That will help them form an opinion. Anyway, my suggestion to you would be that you play it safe and go to one of those large hospitals where there will be at least 5 or 10 doctors at any time of the day or night.
