Hi Girls,

Last week I went for Doc checkup and sugar test. Will know sugar test results this Wednesday. This time my doc told me to call her immediately if I feel any contractions or fluid leak or blood discharge. I am not sure how the contractions will be. Do you have any idea ? How do we differentiate between Braxton hic contractions and regular contracations ? Also regarding the fluid leak, for me I see vaginal dischare most of the times. How do I know if that was regular vaginal discharge or fluid leak. Let me know if you have any information.

Hey don't worry just as we r in the 7th mth i guess your doc asked u to watch for preterm labour.True labor pain will be regular&frequent as compd to BH.Pain accompanied by tightening of abdomen[can be felt with finger tips]&contractions more than 5 in an hr is true labor.The contractions in labor will be accompanied by low back pain&heaviness in pelvis&upper thighs.
In BH it will be a bearable tensing of the lower abdomen &u cannot time it.
Vaginal discharge is just like spotting where it stains the panty&is thicker.Vaginal leak when water breaks will be like watery fluid leaking not just stuck.It may be clear or pinkinsh.
To be better prepared read up the book u have .
Hey Anu my amma got an appt for Sep8th i guess the dates moved up since u&Bhargavi told me the slots.Iam glad now she can make it in Oct 1st wk if all goes well.
I wld anyway be needing your help soon with regard to doc's iam going thru' the sites&preparing a list myself.
When r your parents or i think u said in-laws arriving?

I am also confused of BH contrx. I get some minor aches and discomforts little bit, I donno if that only is contrx, but all told its pain that will last few sec and go off and come again, also it starts from back and comes to abdomen I suppose.
But some of my frends preg first time told they had contrx but didnt know it at all. Little worried I am also reg this. Only after 34-35 weeks or in second preg will u know the contrx clearly I think.
I too have discharge but what doc means is lots of discharge coming continuously, or if is pale green or bloody or light pink etc.
More than anything our intution will alarm us if anything is wrong.... Dont worry and lets all cheer up
