Unexplained Infertility:Tubal Patency Test and Endometrial Biopsy

Hello,

I am 31 years old and have been trying to conceive for a year now. My doc has recenty suggested tubal patency (Laparoscopy) and endometrial biopsy under general anesthesia. Can anyone tell me a) what are the complications post surgery, b) how effective is it, since my doc says she will do an IUI after that. 3) Is it a painful procedure.

laproscopy is done only if either of the two tubes are blocked.its not a major surgery and patient is kept in day care only. endometrial biopsy is to rule out any bacteria in the genital organs. i have undergone bothe of these treatment but only after the docs exhausted all the treatments available to them. you have not mentioned the medical problem u have concering conception.

IVF via Donor Sperm
Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.

Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still risk... - SS [View Message]
