Am still facing issues with feeding. My little one sucks for 4-5min and goes off to sleep. And continues to suck at times if I tickle him or keep talking to him, but am not sure if he is really sucking or using my breast as pacifier. Also his sleeping hrs. are very less, he sleeps for about 8-10hrs. How r u'r little ones with the sleep times.
Also r u all burping u'r babies after every feed. My son doesnt seem to like the burping part, the moment I put him on my shoulders he starts crying. At times, I put him to sleep without burping, is it fine???

Madhavi Hana replied. My midwife suggested that if the baby falls asleep too much and doesn't feed, you should strip him/her naked completely with just the diaper on. This makes them cold and uncomfortable and so they feed more to get warmth. You could try that. Personally, I don't think dummys are a very good idea.

Also, you could try to express some milk and give it in a bottle, because some babies take time to suck on the breast. Hope this helps.
