Hi Girls,

My son is month a half old and my problem is ofcourse.. breastfeeding! My supply has been low since the beginning which is why my son doesnt latch on all the time... and whenever he does i dont think theres much milk for him cause in a matter of 2 minutes he pulls himself away.

I have tried pumping..although not regular but that doesnt work. I barely get an ounce now. I eat lot of fish, soups etc and i have also started taking yeast tablets to try and boost my Bm supply but its been a week now and theres no difference!

My son has only 1 BM feed in 2 days! Thats quite depressing.the rest is all formula.

Pls help girls. I dont want to give up but i have tried al i know and nothing has working so far... but im ready to try anything else u girls might recommend.

Always sit in a comfortable position to feed the baby.

Try using a comfortable chair like a sofa-chair, prop urself and baby with pillows, keep legs on bed while sitting on chair if u want ... thus u can take a nap or relax while feeding hope replied. Hi
hope this helps....i had low supply not as early but by 4th month or so & i tried taking Garlic & methi seeds.Make garlic(keep it as clove not pieces),onion & tomato fry & store it in the fridge & have 2/3 cloves almost everyday or every other day & also soak methi seeds overnight & have it first thing in the morning just like that.

It helped me & am back intrack now....hope this will help.you can increase garlic according to the need & if your body gets heated up methi helps to cool.

and also the worry that u are getting will also play a role so as they said in previous replies try your best but dont get depressed over it.good luck! rashmi replied. I had exact problem as you are having.so i can understand what you are going through.

i have no help and to maintain supply i am not able to pump regularly. regular bf was not possible for me because when he was ready to latch, i did not have supply.so he would cry and leave it.so i gave him formula and pumped bm.

after pumping regularly when i started feeling full, my baby didn't want to latch at all.i tried to latch him for 15 days.
in that trying i could not pump regularly and my milk supply is down now.

so i am not going to strain myself further.i tried my best and it is not in my hands.

i think you are going through post pregnancy depression and it is common to have low milk supply.
keep trying. i tried my best for 3months and now i don't think i will continue further.i am getting tired.
