Hi All,

I want to know side affects of Epidural anesthesia for C secton or Normal delivery.

I have spoken to many people in India, who donot recommend it. What are your suggestions?
I am quite closed towards it after hearing stories like back pain for whole of life.

Has anyone any experience to share wrt this.

Hi peppy...

I had a c-sec so anesthesia was epidural... except for the pinprick like any injection does, i havent had any side effects from this. The pain that ur friends have told u could b due to some other reason, like bad posture during feeding baby,etc... Yes, i had terrible throbbing headache upto 4 days after operation, which my doc said is normal due to the anesthetic. Like Rekha says, experience cud vary from person to person!!

Hi,

I had a bay in march and i took epidural. still i feel backpain.
i think it is person to person some does not have this problem. my suggestion try to avoid if not then take it. other thing epidural process also not easy it is painful and they give when u have at least 3-4 inch diaulation. so u would have to wear a pain.
