Hi ,

I have the below issues.
1. Less Fluid
2. Low laying placenta
3. Tiny baby

This is my first baby. And my due date is 20th oct.My triple test was also negative, but my high risk doctor after doing U/S said that there are no significant markers and did not find any abnormalities. In my 6th month of pregnancy my fluid level went down below 5 then after taking good rest and lots of fluid it went above 10. I had my U/S when i was 30 weeks and my baby was measuring 2.12 Pounds which is less and is equivalent to a 28 week baby.

When i was 31 weeks i was admitted to the hospital since i was having a low fluid value of 4.3. My doctors kept me on IV and asked me to drink lots of fluid (4/5 liters of water). I am now 32 weeks and still have a low fluid value of around 5.5. After having so much of fluid still my fluid level has not increased. My Doctors are not able to give me any specific reasons on why my fluid is not increasing. The doctors' say that, there can be 3 possible reasons for low fluid and less baby weight

1. Negative triple test
2. Placenta Problem
3. Or just one of the case where the fluid is less and less baby growth

I am admitted in hospital and my doctor wants me to be here until i deliver. Currently i am under constant monitoring and my baby heart beats looks good. The doctors say that since i have the above problem, its a risk if i go back home, as there will not be a constant monitoring and there can be any issues at any time since there is low fluid. The doctors have given me steroids injections, just in incase i have to do an early delivery. This steroid helps the baby' s lungs to grow.

My weight is also growing normal, i gained 37 pounds since the start of my pregnancy. My baby’s movements are also normal, as well as I can feel the movements and hiccup daily.

Please let me know if any one had a similar problem. Also suggest me if it is wise to go home and take complete rest or stay in hospital. Please give me your suggestions as I am
staying alone in US with my husband and no one else to help me around.
My biggest concern is my baby’s health and wants to know will it be a healthy baby later.

Though I dont know much abt this,I would suggest you follow the Doc' s advice. But pls keep tension free. Will pray for you. Take care.
