My son of 15 days is drinking every 1/2 hour when awake and every 2 hrs when asleep. He cries a lot while feeding, latches and unlatches frequently and generally is very excitable and irritable while on breast. My milk supply is good. The doc said that he has acid reflux problem and put him on Zantac drops. Somehow, I'm not comfortable giving him medication. So please advice.

Also he has been spitting quite a lot even after burping. He does not realise whether he is full or not and asks for milk all the time. I realise that it is also for comfort/pacifying, but do not know whether to use a pacifier or not. Pls advice on this too. His weight gain has been very good acc. to the doc.

Advait was like this in his first month and a few days of second month. We did not medicate he is fine now!

About spitting and drulling, it's very common with this babies. once his apetite increased he will be able to keep all in his body and less of throwing. Advait used to spit even in his sleep, quite uncomfortable when I noticed but that phase is over now. I believe it will get better with your son too.

When weight gain is fine no worries. Burp well.
