Hi guys...

how are we all doing? I have finally got some time so posting you my birth story....

Here goes....

It all started one fine saturday morning, the 12th Feb.. I got up and cleaned my house and went to my mum's house for breaki.. after which we all left for shopping... grocerry shopping ... i did mine and was soo uneasy after that so I sat down the rest of the time in the food court while my mum and sister finished their shopping... came home and had something to eat.. and then i had some tighting in my stomach which i did not take notice as it has been happening for some time... i was soo tired and uneasy... but was not able to sleep at all.. i left lying on the sofa watching t.v... (but i tell you what a bad idea not to sleep!)... anyway... by the time it was evening i became more restless.. my mum got a little worried.. so she massaged me to take my mind off the tighting pain...

At night time... we all had a plans to go to the city of melbourne to watch the chinese new year celebration at night.. so i got up and went back to my place at 7pm when sachin came home... i got home and told sachin how uneasy i was feeling.. he gave me a massage... and told me to rest before gettign ready.. meanwhile my dad called to say lets cancel the city program and just go for dinner... so i agreed... and so by 9pm we all went including my sister family were at a resturant enjoying dinner.. i had a lovely dinner.. enjoyed and ate a lot... came back to mum;s place at 11pm for a cup of tea. but by then..i was just feeling really uneasy and tighting had got worse... so i told mum that i wanted to sleep and she agreed as she would see from my face how uneasy i was.. went back home.. changed and by 11.30pm... i got my first major contraction... i screamed soo loud... sachin helped me to bed.. and then i got my second one... and every time i got my contraction i felt like going to the loo which i did... and there it was.. \";the bloody show\"; which i knew was starting of labour... called my hospital and told hte midwife.. who advised me to go for a shower and just time my contraction... so after the phone call sachin started timing.. and guess what they were every 5 minutes apart and really painful... sachin called up mum who came to my place and told that we are going the hospital.. meanwhile i had vomited all my dinner out.. as the heavy dinner was making me more sick...

We got into the car..and left for the hospital..the pain in the car was getting worse... with a seat belt on it was just too much to take.. the labour room was all ready as sachin had called up the hospital...around 12.30am i was at my labour room trying to cope with the pain.. my midwife timed and found them to be every 3 minutes and that is when she did an internal examination... in the meanwhile my sister came to the hosital as well.. the internal examination was painful and got the contraction going even more... my internal examination reveled that i was 8CM DIALATED ALREADY!!!! and it was too late for any form of pain killer ... whcih i had been beging for... so she gave me gas and told me to take this when the contraction occured... and from there ons.. i was on gas ONLY...

The contractions got bad to worse (with me screaming at sachin, my mum.... ) but my midwife was just excellent... she was too good.. i was not able to get up from my bed as the pain were just tooo bad... i was crying and begging my midwife to help me but with gas it made it hard... by 5am.. my doctor arrived and he told me to push... and i pushed.. pushed but they would see the head which made me litte assured that i am getting there.. but by 6am i had lost all my engery..and was crying like anything... so my doctor told me he will have to cut me and do a vacuum delivery ... as every time i pushed the baby's head would come nad go back in again.. so finally at 6.39am.. my sweet tiger arrived and was placed in my arms... i had no engery.. and had got blood so my BP was down like anything... so just lyed there looking at my tiger... with sachin...

After the labour... my BP went really low so they put me on drip and i fainted quite a number of times so they had to give me oxygen.. overall i got 12 stiches....and labour was around 7 hours.. ;)

so here it was.. a short but a really painful labour... ;) but now all i forgotten after i look at my little tiger!

for all you have delivered... it is an amazing feeling... and for all who have not delivered.. good luck and enjoy it to the fullest!

very nice to read through ur birth story...wow u managed upto 8 cm even without knowing it!!! Reading urs made me recollect my labour experience...yes birthingis a truly unique experience and i am glad it went on well for you...
