how are u all doing?Is it a must that we have to sleep lying on the left side,but i find it difficult.I fear if i press my tummy.so i sleep on back,is this ok???????????

I cant wait for the day when i can get back to lying back on my tummy..LOL

How are you...You are correct, sleeping on the left hand side is the best...I too miss sleeping on my belly...I used to fall alseep like a baby when I used to do that..but I would not dare take a chance right now.

I hope everything is going well with you! I had my 3 hour GTT test today. Agh...anxiouxly awaiting. By the way, where are you located??

sleeping on the left the left is good for you and the baby.it improves the flow of blood and nutrients to the placentaand helps the kidneys to eliminate waste from the bodywhich in turn reduces swelling on hands feet and ankles.
avoid sleeping on the backas this puts full pressureand weight onof the uteruson ur back and intestinesand also effects the veins that transport blood from the lower body to the heart.it can also lead to back ache,hemorrhids,poor circulationand breathing and even lower pressure.
there ias no harm in sleepiong on the right so may be you can change positions .
i find it difficult to sleep on my side,but what to do we all want the best for the baby .so best of luck to you hope you are feeling and doing great. deepika

hi ritu

hello
i really have disturbed sleep at night.i do have the tendency to lie on back.if i sleep on one side the next morning my body aches,but what to do,have to think of the little one.I stay in california.i am eagerly waiting for my afp results.what is awaited for me,GOD knows.this is my first baby,do you feel the movement.i feel it sometimes like wave,but not prominently.what about u?which week r u in???
