Hi gals,

How r u all doing, well , y'day i had a bad experience,I have developed some kind of allergy/rashes on my body in patches from last 2-3 days which was very itchy and i have been unable to sleep properly at nights,i asked my Dr and he suggested me to apply calamine lotion,as he's available only on sunday so i cnt go and show it to him. Y'day it aggarvated a lot and by evening i was all in tears,so we consulted a local Dr and he said,it's German Measels and risky for the baby.Me and my hubby got really scared and was all crying. Then we called up my dad in India, who's also into medicine, and narrated him the whole thing,he said even if it is German measels,it wont harm the baby as my pregnancy is full term now, however i got the Rubella IgG test done b4 conceiving and it was +ve,he told me to apply calamine as usual and not to wry at all, finally at night i spoke to my Dr again and he too said the same thing,we were much relieved then. Am in a better condition now, applying calamine lotion, itching is under control and not spreading anymore.Baby movements are fine and sharp as usual :)) Just thot of sharing this bitter experience of mine with u all. I wish everyone a smooth and safe delivery, lots of luv to all the li'l one's and tk cr mommies...

You have really gone thru a lot. Your dad is right as ur pregnancy is full term now there is no harm. They generally say it is harmful in the first three months as vital organs of the baby are formed, but still I think there is some medication to avoid even that.

Anyway it is good that the calamine lotion is working. You can also take warm baths (not hot water baths) and wear cotton clothes to soothe the rashes. I know the last few days can really get stressful. Relax and dont worry ur baby will be perfectly fine.

Love to u and ur baby,
Leo
