Hey guys, glad to read that you are dealing with the GD well and nice to see you both support each other...

I had a question for you: do you have any sought of craving for sweet, sugary items....cause for the past week or so I have had an almost uncontrollable craving for them....and since my blood glucose level was exactly 140, I am a bit worried about my out-of-the-blue wanting to eat sugar....

Any input from you would be greatly appreciated...

I also have developed a sudden craving for sweets although my blood sugar is normal.It might be for the simple reason that the body requires more energy and it knows how to demand it as sugar is the instant form of energy.
Don't worry too much about it.

Avi,

I do have a sweet tooth and getting rid of all sweets in my diet has been kind of tough. But when you put it in perspective, it really isnt a sacrifice at all.

I agree with Priya, that it probably means nothing in your case. Dont stress out over it.

But, like Priya said, just a matter of a few more weeks
and the result of all our hardwork will make us feel like it was all worth it.....

Avi,
Unfortunately, I did have a lot of sugar cravings during my 6th month...In retrospect, I realize why. This was unusual, beacuse I don't have a sweet tooth (at least I did'nt , pre-pregnancy).
In your case, it could be nothing. While I would'nt worry about it too much, do try to control the cravings. A little bit can really increase sugar levels. Its only a few more weeks. Then you can eat all the sweets you want !

Thanks for you input Priya.. I will bring it up with my doc when I see her in two weeks and will watch my sugar intake too.....
I was worried cause like you, I never had a liking for sweets (even ice cream)..I never even liked having coffee with sugar, so it is very unusual for me...
