I am just curious to know how important is physical beauty for a married life? Though we see many matrimonial ads. looking for tall, fair, slim brides, tall grooms, i feel its not merely looks that makes marriage to happen.
However beautiful one's wife or handsome one's husband, it can fascinate only in the beginning. After that we get used to the looks, and then the personality keeps the couple together. This is how i feel.
When i see somebody for the first time, their appearance draw the attention first. However when i consier known people, my close relatives, i couldn't distinguish somebody being more beautiful than the other. Is it just my feeling or this is how everyone feels?
Why i am asking this question is, i see posts in which beauty plays some important role in their married life. There is lot of threads for beauty in this forum (and in others too!). Is it just a personal wish to be beautiful, or is it demanded for a happy marriage?
I am curious to know your views. JASMIN HASSAN replied. Personally, I would like to marry an attractive man. Yet for the most part people tend to be average looking. So chances are that most people in your family are average too. Also when you became romantically attached to someone, you tend to look at them with rose colored glasses.
