my daughter is now 6 months and 1 week old. is it correct age to make her sit?

i try to make her sit ptopped up with pillows. but she always falls to the front pushing the pillow. is there any other better way to train babies sit?

and also when she sits i feel the lower back is curved. is it normal for children to have their back curved? or may be she always leans to the front while sitting, is it showing because of that ,, i don't know.i asked the ped he told her back is normal but i am not convinced. i think the back should be straight when they sit. i am a bit worried. please reply. thank you amma replied. my 13month old is still not sitting straight. my ped said she started sitting earlier than her back was ready to sit.i have changed 2 ped because of dis.
they also said that it will take time for her to sit straight.
Anu, what your ped said my first ped used to say the same thing when she started sitting at 6months. so i didn't care about it.

Rekha replied. ya they cant support yet so tend to bend initially as seen with my baby. they will start sitting up straight once they learn how to sit. ya 6 mns is a good time to start. my baby been sat at 7 mns. we actually bought him a bumbo which is a seat specially designed for babies who cant sit yet. to keep them supported (instead of the
traditional pillow system) until they sit by themselves. but you can sit your baby up with pillows too. hold her straight in the front.
