Hi all,

I am from the jan board. It is true that the newborn should wear old clothes. The reason being their skin is sooooo tender and fresh, the starch(stiffness) in the new clothes wont affect the skin of the baby. This is what I am told. Maybe the true reason also. Old baby clothes are pretty soft compared to the new ones. There is no other reason. It is upto u on what u decide for the baby :)

Yes its true.every parents do it in different ways.i used to wash new clothes then wear it for my baby.in US we get detergent like dreft specially for babies.which makes the clothes very soft.
