Due Date Club October 2007:Seating postures and morning sickness
2007-04-09
Name: Lalita

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if everyone has finished with their sickness syndrome in this group? I am 14 weeks pregnant and the sickness still continues! :(
Besides this all most everyone around me has been advising me about my seating posture. Iam just 5 feet tall and most of the chairs are tall for me. Since I feel uncomfortable dangling my legs I have always crossed them or folded them to one side. People tell me that this is harmful for the baby. Is this true?
I also have a slight pain around my navel. Has anyone else experienced this?

Get a step stool ,throw a pillow on it and relax n stretch your legs. It works great for any height. You can use it at work, keep it under the desk.

Go for a recliner at home, esp for watching TV

I been having some tummy pains too.. am soo gassy, i look like i am in my third trimester. I have stomach pain .. so i guess its normal.

I have terrible terrible headaches...i hate taking tylenol now, because it stopped working for me.

You all take care girls...

I have been lucky enough to not have any sickness so far and I do not know about seating postures.

But I do have a friend who had a baby recently and she was sick untill the third trimester.

About the pain, I spoke to my doctor yesterday as I was having similar pain and the doctor said that this is the time when the baby' s movements may be felt by your muscles a little and that can result in abdomen pain but its normal.

So enjoy your pregnancy and wait for more.

-A common cause of blood in an infant' s stool is a slight anal tear (fissure) from baby straining with the passage of the stool. The small amount of blood from an anal fissure tends to look like a red streak on the outside of the stool.
