just wanna kn if any new moms are giving full formula for the baby..

lota ppl give lota info reg BM and formula.. i am so confused .ultimately i want my baby to be healthy ...

my morality is getting decreased.. planning to go for one more consultation with the lactation consultant and the pediatrician.. lets c whats gonna happen after that..

post me suggestions

More or less our situation is same.. my mom came last month for the delivery.. she cldnt guide me anything reg BM.. as she was having some personal probs in India she has left...

i have asked my MIL to come asap.. so that i have some moral support.. i am trying to keep up my spirits.. as u said one time giving formula and one time pumped milk at night wont cause a big hassle.. i am also doing that..

have u checked ur baby weight.. if he is gaining then no issues to worry.. hope u will have lending shoulders for everything soon ( ur mom is coming nah)

dont worry .. we will definitely make it.. and our babies are going to do better in the days to come..

hi veenu my last try

Hi veenu,

i dont wanna give up my hopes.. night time and early mornings i feel really tired and that time i give formula and pumped milk..

now i am planning to throw up my tiredness and concentrate on breastfeeding.. god needs to help me.. though my hubby gives me full support and wakes thru out with me i feel real guilty...

do u have any support ... i dont have anyone around and asked my MIL to rush up asap so that my hubby can take rest in the night time and she can guide me out..

i have called up local nursing center where they come for house visit and guide .. next is i called la leche league for help and one more time planning to go for lactation consultant..

i am hoping that atleast one way cld click with my breast feeding pressure.. need to be positive and have to breast feed my baby...

pray for me
keep n touch and update me the happenings from ur side.

Take it easy...

Suki - Frankly speaking it is tiring... But anyhow whole day i am trying to BF the baby and at night one time formula and one time pumped milk... I shall continue that whatsoever... As it givs me energy to be ready for next day... I don't see any harm in giving formula one or twice, then it is personal choice.

I don;t have help.. though my MIL is here but she doesn't know much about BF... and coz of her health issues she is planning to go back in a week... My parents will be here soon... Swear on God it is tough but I am taking one day at a time... I won't lie if I say time to time I don't cry. I guess it is natural.. I am waiting for my Mom to come so that I can hug her tight and cry... I guess first time Mom there are so many things you don't know... But sure we will cross this hurdle too...

I too had problem with my son latching and slowly slowly we go it there and am sure you too will be Don't try too too hard... Take it easy.. when you feel tired and exhausted take a break by giving him pumped milk/formuls and next feed try on your breast... In that way you are also fresh and energetic... So don't give up but always remeber to take care of yourself too...

I am giving a blend

Hi,
I am giving formula + bmilk. Well the doc recommended since my baby was going down with jaundice and she did not want him to lose weight.
I try to use formula on trips and when i am too tired or the breasts hurt.
Howerver I have noticed my breasts becoming more engroged so I am planning to increseing my breast feeding and decrease formula...

I am trying my level best.. main issue is that positioning the baby for latching is difficult.. it sucks for 40 mins but not taking enuf milk..

planning to go for another session with lactation consultant.. its really encouraging to see all your messages..

trying to boost my morality for breast feeding..

btw, where r u put up in the USA.. me in eastern zone.. michigan state..

Don't lose hope

Suki - Don't be low. There is no harm in giving formula. as far as baby is full. Don't be sad. There is no harm in combining both the things... Baby will be healthy. Don't worry!!!

Don't let your moral go low. I know it is easy to say I too go down time to time.

Go for consulatation and keep us posted... things will be ok it is just atter of time. So lets see smile on yur face...

Hi Suki and Veenu and all others...
i'm also giving both rather first two feeds in a day i get enough pumped milk but then by eve i dnt get.. enough so i give formula too when she becomes more crancky...but first i feed her with breast since last two days only she started taking breast that too one side...for half an hour...i am hoping for the improvements...

I have been visiting site and finally cld see posts. Rhea is doing good.Pretty active like other kids.she sings whole abc song and counts 1to 6 (her bro' s impact)
I have been busy since i joined work since Jan ,so my inlaws are here to help with kids.i terribley miss both kids during day.
