Hi All,
I have been reading all your posts for a long time..its the 1st time that I am writing. I was wondewring what are the essentials that you are packing in the bag for your hospital stay and also what are the absolute necessary items that you need immediately..I mean like crib and stuff. They also say that its always better to make newborns wear old clothes 1st..is that something that you are planning to do..any pointers would be really helpful.

Hi this is what i pack i don't know were you are from and this is my second in US so according to the need
1. Sleepwear
2. Socks
3. Slippers
4. Maternity underwear.(they do provide you (in US)with the netted one which is o.k but anyway you stain so its your choice on bringing yours in case)
5. Nursing bra.(If you are planning on doing so )
6. Breast pads
7. Change of clothes and comfortable shoes to wear home.
8. Toiletries, including toothbrush,toothpaste etc.
9. Hair band,
10. Lip moisturizer
11. Sanitary napkins.(hospital will provide you over there but for home if you want to shop .)
12. Massage oils or lotions
13. Breath mints and snacks (After many hours of labor, you're likely to be pretty hungry and you don't want to have to rely on the hospital's food .)
14. Eyeglasses, if applicable.
15. Cell phone and list of important phone numbers.
16. Preggy pops to help with nausea during labor.
17. Camera/video camera and film/tape/battries.
18. Dollar bills or change for vending machines.
19. Cell phone/prepaid phone card. List of important phone numbers.
20.
.
Receiving blanket.
Newborn clothes.(If you want to make him/her ware yours they do give you body suits though)
Infant car seat.(they won't allow you to take the baby home without that )

did you take the hospital tour if not do so they will let you know so much with the things they will give you .
I hope this will help you
take care
soni
