my baby is waking up every hour or so and latches for 45 minutes though in between he goes to sleep and I have to wake him up... He sucks and is latching properly so i know he is getting... but I am confused when to stop... Sometime i burp him and he goes to sleep and wakes up in 15 minutes looking hungry...

Experience Mom please suggest... How should I deal with it... Rohan is 2 weeks old. my lactation consultant said it is cluster feeding and should be ok by end of 3rd week... But I need experience mom's suggestion...

Thanks in advance to all Moms. You suggestion really help first time mom like us keep going...

Hi Veenu,
I am from Nov board (baby is yet to arrive) and hence I am not the best person to respond. Hoever, I have been reading a lot on this topic (since I want to breast feed) and what you have written seems normal. Books say that there are weeks when the baby might be going through a growth spurt and may feed much more often. So do not worry (though it must very exhausting).

Baring these spurts, 8-12 feedings in a day are recommended.

All the very best,

Amrita
