My baby is 2 months old.He used to pass bowels once daily.Since last 4 days he started passing bowels 4-5 times a day and is seedy.Its not that loose.is this normal.otherwise he is fine.he is drinking formula normally like before.he doesnt spit up too.

Hetal replied. If your baby has 4-6 wet dispsble or 6-7 cloth diapers and 3-4 poopy diapers in 24 hours ,,these are perfectly normal !!!
in that a couple 1 or 2 diapers more or less is just fine!! no worries..however, if this increases in frequency or ne exceptional change in the consistency,,, contact your ped immdtly...
about consistency, generally bf babies are expected to give seedy consistency,,howwver,its perfectly normal for formula babies to have the same ! make sure they are not watery !! seedy is fine..watery stools are is a sign of Diarrhea,,and it may be because of ne viral infection/stomach flu or ne other thingg coming on your way !!
note ne peculiar smell or ne other thing seen in diaper,,ne other changes in his intakes or in his schedule.
trust your mother instincts and call your dr with ne doubts !
your worries stand true because its gnerally expected that baby passes his regular number of bowels, in accordnance to specific number he has been following,,,, and suddenly now it has increased...so its worth a worry,,
The only color stool you need to be worried about is red, white, black, or mucous streaked. As long as they are normal looking stools : green or yellow mess or light yellow ---no worriesss
some babies will go every two to four days....
check his weight, intake and his responses and also note ne colour in skin or so,,ne temperature,,ne uneasiness in passing these bowels..
rest all is normal..and this may happen because your baby has started getting into schedule of 4-5times of bowels,,as far as the things i mentioned are in control,,m not worried..
and alaassss, always better to call your ped and get it confirmed...this is viral infection and flu season so y take a chance !!!
