Hi! I am in my 13th week. I gained ~2 lbs until now. Does anybody know how much weight should we gain at the end of first trimester?

Hi! I'm almost near the end of my first trimester and have not gained any weight yet, I am so worried.. is this normal? I do have a lot of m/s, is that the reason for no weight gain?

Hi Suma,

2-3 lbs is the most appropriate weight gain in 1st trimester acc to my doc. More than that will be very difficult to lose. Most of the weight gain will be during 2nd trimester.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I am happy to hear that we should gain ~2-3 lbs. One of my friend scared me the other day about this weight issue. Thanks a lot!!
