Hetal, would like to bring your kind attention to my posting date 23-07-06.
Hetal replied. its ok, babies are programmed to break schedules and always fuss it :)
schedule not necessarily mean that its fixed, when it comes to babies, but i required the general timeline :)...
his feed schedule looks good to me.if he sleep for 45mins at 5 evening, i am ok with it..but did you try wakking him up after 15-20 mins, by just taking him outside and diverting his mind ! try that. also give fruits in mornings, its beneficial..babies should be eatin variety of fruits by 9months. add in 2 oz of fruits with morning cereal..throw in other fruits with the banana pwder porridge.
also, start giving 3oz of diluted fruits juice (introduced fruit pulp + 3 parts of water)and give it at 430, with some crackers to munch(baby crackers, roasted roti/khakhra soaked in juice/pieces of vegetables sometimes,,, with instead of one whole feed of milk/formula. it will lessen his sleep time. and after givng juice,if he seems to b hungry, give not more than 3oz of formula that too after 30mins only.
and then dinner time is good enough,,and try to make him sleep at 1100-1130, and let him drink whole feed before sleep...
as its seen that his sleeping time is not more than 6.5/7 hours at night..so that by the time he wakes up in morning it will be 6.an extra hour is not bad. and babies should be sleeping 7-8 hours, one hour here and there is fine !
rest all looks good to me, his formula intake is good, dont reduce it furthers.
give him a good bath before feeding him formula at night, might help making him sleep better..
try offering water instead of formula in morning 430,,see how he reacts..or add in 2oz of water to 4oz of formula,,and keep diluting it further until you reach 100% water...or try to just rock him and make him back to sleep..thats a tough one,,try the water one :) he is habituated to early morning feeds so might get mad if you just rock him :)) so give him wat he wants, but dilute it and change the taste of it !! morning he wont hesitate much, as he is sleep, but will drink and eventually leave it as you will keep diluting more water :)) & his taste will go off.
babies above 6months dont need night or early morning feeds actually esply after the dinner and full feed at night before sleeping. but keep trying, might help.
sry abt late reply,,my week started late cz of bday and cant manage to reply everyone on time !
take care and good luck !

1.apple, green pears, is good to give it pressure cooked.
rest all that are ripe like mangoes, other types of pears that turn sweet when ripe, papaya, banana, seedless cherries, blackberries, apricots(pressure cooked until 9mnths),can be given without cooking !
yup introduce all greens leafy vegies,,avoid any kind of cabbage or lettuce !
right time to do so,,adds alot of flavour to spiceless foods for little ones !!

hi,it doest matter if your baby is not having teeth..he can eat crackers..soften them by dipping abit in soup or fruit juice..therre are special teething biscuits/crackers available in US,,nt sure about newhere else,,so look for them...it doesnt matter that baby isnt having teeth,,but they can be started as early as 8months by softening them in any liquid ! in india, marie gold biscuits made of barley are good for health, but look for the real brand !
good luck

Hetal, that was indeed an effort that should be appreciated. I have read that u r carrying for the second time. I cant even imagine me taking care of the first + second pregnancy and finding time to reply in detail to alll thoseeeee tons of doubts. U really r a gem of a person, a superb mom, with so much of patience. Now with this little master itself at times i loose my temper.
About ur suggestions, my son is not at all fussy even if he gets up from his sleep suddenly by any distraction, so will try waking him up in the evening after a 10-15 mins nap.
He doesnt a single teeth yet. So about giving crakers in the evening i doubt if he can eat it.And I count understand what "khakhra" is is,
About early morning feed will try diluting formula.
Thanks a

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
