Due Date Club September 2004:my update

I had my 39+1 day appt today. The doc did an internal exam & said that i was not dialated at all. looks like i have few more days to go . The baby has not even decended .

The baby's heart beat & my Bp was all fine . Though the doc said that i had lost 1/2 lbs . I do not understand this . is it normal to loose weight like this in the last 2 weeks of pregancy?

have anyone of you experienced the same thing ?

Hi vidya,

Yep , i do keep a track of the baby moevements . These days i feel their frequency has decreased. But i doc does not seem to be worried .

Infact when i asked her in my 28th week, how many moevements shud i feel in 1-2 hrs , she said as long as u feel some moevements it;s fine .

U know , at times i just don;t understand these doc. Especially in the US , every doc says soemthing diff.

I so so worried about my Weight loss . Do u know of anyone who is going thru the same thing . Pls asnwer.

hi archana

eh thanks v much for ur support....btw, even i had a very little gain of 100g and then doc checked for baby growth.she said as long as the measurements of the baby were good, no need to worry abt wait loss.she asked me to take protein rich diet.if u have lost weight...does not mean that baby has lost weight too...might be it has gained n u have lost..even i was a bit apprehensive abt weight but then after scan(which was done after 3 weeks)... i was conivinced...so i don think u need to worry...i have even seen in some other boards where ppl complain abt weight loss but then have had healthy babes....

so don worry n enjoy the remaining few days...

Very normal....

to lose weight at this last stage of pregnancy. Pl don't worry unnecessarily and look fwd to the big day. Good luck. BTW didn't your doctor tell you it's normal to lose weight?

hi Archana, mee to am on the same boat 39+2 but not yet dilated...btw, what abt baby movements...r u monitoring it?how many movements are u able to feel approximately...am a bit worried abt it..
