i am in 23rd week of my pregnancy .initailly i was 57 kgs(before concieving) , but then due to nausea i lost 2 kgs of wt in first trimester , now i have just gained 2 kgs that is back to where i was..i am 5'3\"; and 57 kgs now.no extra gain..
this is bothering me...does anyone of u have an idea how much wt i shud have gained by now.

chitra. friend replied. hi, its ok if you don't gain weight or even loose weight during first 12 week of pregnancy, this may be because nausea, vomiting etc. but after 12 week you should gain 1 pound per week.try to take healthy food and lot of water atleast 8 glasses a day. Mamatha replied. Even I had pretty much the same problem, I lost around 6 pounds during my 1 st trimester. & I had gained around 4 pounds in my last check up(18 weeks). Now I am 21 weeks & I think I have also reached the weight I was before conceiving. But I think U should start gaining weight from now on. Don't worry eat whatever possible, try to stick on to healthy foods. They say that u should gain a total weight of 25 to 35 pounds. Hope to hear that u gained weight the next time u write.
