hi poochy,

reading ur mail gave me some sort of relaxation that am nt the only one who's developed aversions from food stuff n smells. same here, even i feel nauseated as soon as i enter the kitchen, n like u , i too was v fond of cooking , bt now .....
hey, surprising that y'day only i soaked rice n dal for idli sambhar :) the only thing that am liking these days is bread. Since am in North africa with my husband, the only snack available here is gud breads, biscuits, fruits n choclates. I luv to eat bread in all forms these days, started taking barley bread now as it's rich in fibre.
also have made some snacks at home so that i can much on and off.
tk care :)

Hi poochy,

Ya, v true, it's actually v nice to share all the experiences out here, n c'mon, i can understand, that we get v depressed n emotional at times, so u can always count upon me :)It happens with me many times n i burst out to tears !!

Well,i dnt fit into my clothes anymore so have purchased few skirts,as i find them the most comfortable, have told my mom to buy few for me n send it over. Really i too miss my mom a lot n esp the food :(

My hubby's v co-operative,at times he cooks upon my instructions as he too doesn't know,bt u know somedays r so bad that i just cannot enter the kitchen.

I m still having m/s,it's bugging n am desperately waiting fr the 1st trim. to get over.Have heard tht 2nd trim. is the best. So have u shifted the appt ?? Usually as soon as i get up i brush to avoid m/s, then have water, then may be some fruit or buiscuit. I walk everyday for 30-40 min n it helps, but some days r horrible, i just cnt speak then, coz it causes nausea. My Dr has given me some chewable tbs to avoid the sensation.

Ya i work in the same Co. with my hubby, timings r pretty comfy,i can move out as per my desire,no hangups.

My Dr is nice, can speak gud english, otherwise, i dnt think so we get any domestic help here,i moved in here 3 mnths bak !!

take care :)

Hi golden,

it's going to be nice sharing our experiences all these 9 months. Hey ya the laddoo recipe sounds good... we make gond laddoos like this just add gond to it..but i found yours easier, i think i'm going to try them out!!

Hey how are u coping work with your m/s?? what are your work timings?? does your husband work with you??

Do you have m/s?? i'm going crazy with the m/s!! all the nausea, puking, horrible metal taste... the list is endless.. gosh!! i miss my mom!! do u get domestic help in africa?? here in us we've got no help!! i'm just too upset and getting all emotional today... so pls bear with me...

i guess all the m/s along with packing is making me go crazy.. although my husband is very helpful, but then he can't cook !! and i'm unable to do so... i'm really longing for my mom's food!! garam garam roti with subzi!! ooh boy!!

so have u shopped for any clothes?? how is your dr?? is he/she and african?? how is life in africa?? i have my masi in durban, south africa...

you can email me at :

Good to hear from you. So you are in north africa!! Wow!! Is it too hot there?? Do you have indian stores??
I haven't tried barley bread... sounds interesting though... I eat 9 grain bread or 12 grain bread...

i'm really waiting for the first trimester to get over... Hate being sick.... moreover we're moving to our new house next week and i haven't even started packing... it seems i've got no energy left in me...

so do u work ?? It seems we both are of the same age... are you a south indian?

what kind of snacks did u make at home??

take care...
