hi there, wats going on with you. jst visited this board today...
saw one more post of yours about your sil..,,please throw in your frustrations here, before i solve your problem !
you need a real vent out ! so very welcome...
who told you that you have binge eating disorder ?
its the most common disorder seen,,
even though exact causes of this disorder is still not known,,
most of the people with this disorder have history of depression..now whether or not this depression is the cause or effect of binge eating disorder is still not clear and often unrelated.
the people have reported that all the negative emotions mostly anger,sadness,bored life/boredom,anxiety,working under high deadlines,,impulsive behaviour(which i saw in you,,),,sadness,,unable to express the vent out to anyone around,,all these are pyshological probs that are pretty much common in people with this disorder...
if you dont control your diet , you will end up having n number of health problems...so for you the most important goal in your life right now is losing weight and keeping all the negative emotions upto your heart only..let your heart and mind work seperately !!!!
there are many methods which are very well known and used extensively on patients with binge eating...
1.cognitive behavioral therapy - monitor and change your eating habits and your responsiveness to differnt situations,esp the tough situations where you think you are losing your mind,,calm down, relax,,,have patience in expecting other people responses,,,,wait for people to speak,listen to them, think in various ways wat they mean,,,and then reply..dont be impulsive,it wont help !! instead be a good listener and if you think that person is bothering you, forget about what you heard...you know,just dont welcome the words further in your ears..start thinking something that interest you :))

2.interpersonal therapy -- have a deep insight of your relationships with your friends and family or people around you..make changes in your behaviour.you have to understand that you cannot control the world, so its wise enough to control your emotions and expressions that dont allow other people to comment on you and thereby depress you !!!!!! no matter who the person is, you cannot expect them to be good to you just because he or she is your relative......rem that,,if you have seen even mothers and fathers have scolded their kids when they think they arent going good !! and in some cases, even parents have made a big mistake in knowing their kids,,which explains that many other people around you might be doing just the same things with you,,irrespective of their relations with you...so be wise, be good in no matter how bad the situation is against you,,and just forget about it.keeping a grudge will make your life miserable !! rem that.
3.medications--pretty well known treatments,,often with people with mild depression,,they are adviced by their drs to take some antidepressants..however, i will recommend you to go for it only if your dr has felt the need of it,,otherwise,,go for natural therapy.
4.groups/support organisations/friend circle/privat consultation ---- this works the best,,because here you share your frustrations and discuss the matter at your heart..it allows you to speak to your heart,and in that process you will tend to release all your frustrations and dislikes for a pariticular person,,,thus you will not end up expressing those frustration in terms of food,,further helping you out to eat on your meal times..
its a fact that when a person is allowed to speak out loud,,he often tends to become tension free and relaxed and calm..and is able manage his mental negative impulses..
so gather people around you who are ready to listen to you,,some close friends, join some good womens group, who are able to support you mentally,,there are organisation and private consultations avaible in US and other countries,,search them out and attend them..its a worth doing !
also visiting a dietitians or nutrition specialists will help you alot..
5. reading/extra curricular/hobbies -- go for it,,include hobbies in your daily routines,,pamper yourself for a whle,forgetting about your family responsibilites,,,read,,there is so much on internet,books,,,some nice tv serials have a wonderful information about housekeeping,child care,family,home improvements,crafts,,careers,,tons of stuffs out there,,just pick one and go ahead..this way you will be inclined to involve into these activities, and this way you will be able to convert your negative frustration into positive skills !!! basically you are converting all your negative energies to something useful !!!!!
6. confidence --- build you inner self confidence by believing in yourself..find a way to express yourself in a healthy way ! try to avoid all the arguments that going worst. improve your relations around you in a way that people around you atleast dont comment you,,,
doing that is hard because sometimes you are surrounded by people who are there just to comment on you,,best thing to deal with this, is dont take their words on mind !! because there are always houseflies around the house and bugs in summer !! you have to live with them,,even if you spray those insecticides,,you have to understand that its their ecological system thats making them come again and again !! just like those people who will commment no matter wht you do,,,so why give them that importance...forget about them and move on,,because you know yourself better than neone else,,its not worth taking things on mind when the things are said by people who are there just to manipulate you..instead you are harming yourself by giving attention to their words..
be sure about yourself rather than making others describe you..you know what m trying to say..
7.eat healthy whenever you feel like eating ---- binge eating cant go in a week or so,it will take several months for you to come in shape and improve your own attitude and approach..its hard for a human being to go thru that change,,its takes a lot of patience, alot of efforts from your own self !!
so, until then, whenever you feel like eating,,make sure you eat foods that low in fat,,there are some really nice websites on internet,,go ahead,help yourself with list of fatfree foods,,no matter how much you much, atleast you wont end up being overweight,,but remember,the first thing you have to try on your own is to avoid that..
