i went for the routine sonography at 36-38 weeks.i am now in 38 th week.
after the sono i generally asked the doc, he said everythin is ok except there is a loop around babys neck.i understand this as the umbilical cord around the neck. but he said it will not necessary lead to c-section as now info is there and doc can plan.
now when i have the report it says \";a single loose nuchal loop of cord is seen\";
what does this mean ?
also the baby wt is 3.2 kgs.what do u feel will be the weight atn 40 weeks?
i remember that u had to go thru c-section coz of cord and am therefore looking up to u.
your babbu must be 2 months now.u think he looks like u or ur hubby?
please help me ease my tensions

reema Archie replied. Dear rwv,
You won't get in C-section due to one loop. YOur baby is going to be active and he/she will resolve that loop while moving in different direction.
Advait was orthoposterior(facing chest upward) on July 1st and that definitely meant I would go for C-section but on July 2nd he was already facing back (normal posterior), see the baby will keep changing position although we did not expect this tumbling to happen at the end of 40th week.

I think my C-section was due to Advait not able to face stress of labor and was one active baby loved to tumble and jump this is what caused him cord problem not that cord problem was there before labor. It was definitely an emergency situation although in India your Dr. can take risk and give chance of vaginal birth with cord trouble, not in US.

Advait looks more like me. Hardly has has features of his dad, if I count then some fingers, toes, ear otherwise whole face looks like me. Yes, he is 2 months and I can tell you all is fine when your baby is healthy at birht.

Do not worry for baby weight. It's upto Dr. Many DRs. do deliver 11 pounds baby vaginally while some dont deliver baby beyond 8 pound, they take in operation theatre. It also depend on pelvis size, which you will know at the time of pushing only.
