Hi
I have a two years old son. For last one month, he is not sleeping well in the night. Before that he had very sound sleep. But now he wakes up many times. He cries a lot but tells nothing. I make him calm and then he sleeps. He takes a nap of 2 hrs in daytime. I massage him daily. But I don't know what can be the reason. Please help.

Hetal replied. since this has recently started, there could be some new thing happening to him.it all depends,,does he cry in pain ? if so, where does he point,,does he press his stomach,or head or touches ears or some organ where he is not comfortable ?
if by calming he sleeps than prob there is something disturbiing that he has seen and now that he rememberrs pretty well,it keeps coming to him by nightmares..i could be anything that he didnt expect in the tv,like ne typical face he must have seen when you were watching tv,,,or some sudden noise or a certain kind of music,,that he heard...
try making him sleep with you,,still see if he wakesup,,if he doesnt, he is into stage of seperation anxiety which often goes after 2 to 2.5 years.
if he is playing well,no fevers, or any pain in any organ,,there shouldnt be any reason for his disturbed sleep !
try asking him in the morning,,sometimes they express it in diff way that they saw that at night or so and so...or try pressing his belly, or any body part, if thats paining and he is not able to express..
its been a month for him with disturbed sleep..well babies need a sound sleep...he should get a good sleep,,talk to your dr.
take care, and good luck

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
