Hey everybody... My doctor told me that my baby will be here any day. I could not write all this time bec. I have high blood pressure and I am asked to take complete bed rest. I have to make a decision soon about work. I do not know whether I should resign or wait till the baby is here and then decide...My company anyway is firing lots of people...So , can anybody give me some feedback...anything about ur expereinces..and I am working in the US...

I was in your boat when I delivered my daughter 3 yrs back. But debating with myself for a long time and then I thought my job had option I can work from home when needed and also wanted to add on some income to my husband as we invested on certain things. Now I' m with my second and was thinking that I' ll leave my job when my first kid is going full time to school and when she needs someone to take care of her homework with their education and etc. But again I felt like my heart broke the day I had to go to work after my maternity leave and you CANNOT concentrate for a while at work. And if they lay you off at work now then take that as god' s wish to be with your baby. Again all this is personal decision. If your job is flexible and relaxing then maybe if not you might want to discuss with your husband. All the best.
