Due Date Club March 2008:having child born in US

We are expecting a Baby Girl. We are confused to have it deliverd here or India. We will be settling in India after 2 yr. You suggestions will be appreciated.
What are the pros and cons in this?

Hi I think india would be better place to have baby. If it is first time then definitely either you have to bring your parents or go to india.
India pros: Good help, U will hv good food and resources .
cons: your daughter will not get us citizenship. But having indian citizenship is also not bad..right?

US prs: ONLY YOU WILL HAVE YOUR DAUGHTER US citizen.
Cons: no domestic help.

Think wisely which is more priority.

Hi,
Congratulations. I agree with previous posters. Just make sure you dont fly after 6 months. I know of people who travelled even in 8th month for immigration. Dont risk your baby. Its not worth it.
Pros: Immigration issues.
Cons: No help, new country, new medical procedures.
Whatever you choose, good luck.

I would opt US

Hey,

I would think its a better idea to have your kid here and can go back when you want but as your daughter is a US citizen and later tommorrow if she wants to come here for education or something it will be useful. Those are my thoughts.
