hi shriya
i think iui is a time pass and wastage of money. i already gone thru 6 iui. but nothing happened. its now irritates me when i thought of the docs behavior after the iui ie all the best , take precautions etc. i am working and u do not imagine that i have many friends who have the same infertility problems . all think that iui is a waste. better directly go to ivf or just take 3-4 opinions in these doctors business world.

because once u go to infertility specialist they have the same treatment to almost every patient. so take opinions of 2-3 persons.

Hi shriya

I have seen it working with some people. and not working for some too. I really depends how lunck u are.. basically dr' s first try 6 round of IUI with medication or injections (fertility) before moving on to IVF. so you need to follow the same protocol.
good luck

ss

Hi,
I had undergone IUI in august . and that was successful. Single IUI for a cycle. God blessed me with a daughter.
He took her back when she was 25 weeks in my womb.

In my opinion, if there is not much problem for both of you and if normal cycles are not working IUI is the best option.
It costs you max 5000/6000 including medicines.
Moreover, the semen is cleaned out and the most fertile sperms are injected. and there are chnaces in normal cycle that semen may not reach upto cervix. this is solved in IUI as Sperms are injected inside uterous.
I would suggest you to go for IUI. and usually within 3 cycles(max) you can achieve a pregnancy.

IVF via Donor Sperm
Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.

Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still... - SS [View Message]
