hello rakhi,
read ur other post.So that means absoulutely no sugar for 9 months? So how do u drink milk? Why dont u add mama protinex or mama horlicks to ur milk n drink!I guess if u add this powder u neednt add sugar.Just ask ur doc abt it..

I meant eating daily 1 santra is very gud for our baby' s complexion.Kesar milk is also gud for our baby, but 1st trimester u shd avoid.Only in the second trimester u shd drink it,coz kesar milk produces lotta heat.
anyways take care,keep writing.

thanks meghnah for sharing all the info!

yes, my doc has told me to avoid sugar..but since i am at low risk (my parents dont have it and my sugar level was okay) , i' m allowed to have it sometimes. i think here the docs are overly strict. my FIL has very high sugar levels and when my SIL was pregnant last year, her doc never asked her anything of this sort(even though she was at high risk).

right now, i drink plain milk..nothing added..but ur suggestion of mama protinex or horlicks is a good idea :)

and abt the orange thing..i was pretty sure you were talking abt santra, but just to confirm once i asked. bcoz here, the mausambi is actually called orange and santra is called tangerine! so i was a little confused :D

hello rakhi,
I was just browisng the internet,I found this info.Just have a luk at it..

Question: I am diabetic and 2 months pregnant. I would like to know about the diet I should follow.

Ans: Among the fruit diabetic patients can have orange, sweet lime, watermelon, muskmelon, and guava are preferred. Avoid sugar in tea and coffee and occasionally if you want can have a piece of sweet. When you have sweets occasionally, that day you must reduce your other carbohydrate foods. Include plenty of raw salad in both your meals. Fenugreek seeds are good for gestational diabetes. Don' t roast it. After drying at sun and immediately powder it. Take 1 tsp with breakfast. Fibre rich foods such as pulses, brown rice, bread, chapathi, and green leafy vegetable should be consumed. Walking is good to control diabetes.
Hope it helps u lil bit.
