Routine Tests:Good Ob/Gyn in Pune

I am about eight weeks pregnant and am desperately searching for a good ob/gyn preferably in Jehangir hospital. How is Dr. Manjiri Kulkarni? Is she an obstetrician as well as a Gyn? Would anyone know where her clinic/contact numbers are?

I have heard Dr. Unni is good -but I believe she is very curt and matter of fact and I think I need someone to be reassuring and do a little hand-holding. Any feedback?

I believe there is one Dr. Vandana Kataria as well - has anyone had any experience with her? I am unable to get any information on her at all.

Please help! Thanks in anticipation

I fully agree with Kamala that Dr Mangala Wani is one of the best gynaecologist in Pune.She has done my fibroid surgery and I have met so many happy mothers that time.She is cofident and very honest and always cheerful.I reccomend her to all my friends and relatives.Her consultation is at Model colony,om supermarket chowk.

Dr Mangala Wani was unbelievable patient and caring in helping me through a long spate of back to back UTIs.Three times I have called her in a state of massive discomfort,and 3 times she has answered right away,comforted and reassured me,and treated me effectively every time.She is the first doctor I have been to who takes time as part of each appointment to sit down and talk about what is going on and answers any and all questions.Her bedside manners during my delievery were compassionate and kind.I highly reccomend her to anyone.She is a terrific doctor.

My cousin delievered recently with dr mangala Wani,a well known gynae in Pune.She gives a right type of treatment for u,very motherly and gives plenty of time.You will be surely in safe hands.Most important-she is a Breastfeeding Specialist as well.

I fully agree with you maya.Dr Mangala Wani is a magnificent doctor,very motherly in nature and quite senior.She is never abrupt or angree and very hard working.She is available on her mobile and always involves your family.A very caring doctor.
