Due Date Club September 2004:my update

Name: NG I had my regular checkup on fri and things were not too pleasing. My due date is on the 20th of sept ,but the doc said i had already started dilating (1cm) and effacement 50% and station -2. does this mean i would go into labor soon? also in my ultrasound scan, the baby's weight measured around 5 pounds and 6 ounzes,which she mentioned was a little underweight for 37 weeks and is almost 2 weeks behind. I have been hogging for the past 2 days ,but I wonder if the weight would ever increase after 36 weeks. also after the internal examination, i had brown discharge and i have it even now after 3 days. is this common after an internal? plz do let me know on how to increase weight?really worried....

Hi Niranjana,

You only have 20 days for your EDD and there are many cases where they deliver much earlier than the EDD. There are many who stay 1cm dialated for even more than 2 weeks or so. So dont worry. Try eating healthy and a lot of nutritious diet.

Iam Naveena from november board,just was curious to know how much weight gain u had all thru ur pregnancy.
I had gaind 11 pounds by 27th week,wondering whether it was ok,Docter said it was fine but i feel it was on low side

hello,
i had gained a total of 25 pounds throughout my pregnancy. i always thought it was on the higher side, but i don't know where it went wrong. i measure right on my fundus height and when i took the last scan in the 20th week the baby's weight was 1.1 pounds which was right at that time. but i had this doubt since my tummy was not showing much, but the doc told me it depends on the stature and size ,the way one is carrying. this link below might give u a rough idea on how much weight to gain depending on ur weight during conception. i hope it helps u...
