YOUR DAILY FOOD CHOICES

Breads, cereals, whole grains: 6-11 servings daily
• 1 slice of bread
•1 roll or muffin
• 3-4 small or 2 large crackers
• 1 cup cooked cereal, pasta, or rice
• about 30 grams ready-to-eat cereal

Fruit: 2-4 servings daily
• 1 medium apple, banana, or other fruit
• 1 cup fresh, cooked, or canned fruit

Vegetables: 3-5 servings daily
• 1 cup leafy raw vegetables
• 1/2 cup cooked or chopped raw vegetables

Meat, poultry, fish: 170-200 grams daily
• 1 egg
• 1 cup cooked beans

Milk, cheese, yoghurt: 4 servings daily
• 1 cup of milk
• 225 grams yoghurt
• 1 ounce natural cheese
• 55 grams processed cheese

Fats and sweets: Limit fats and sweets
You may have fats such as butter, ice cream and cream cheese as you usually would. Sweets are okay in moderation, but try to avoid large amounts of empty calories so your weight will not get out of control.

Hi Avi and Nikita. Well, even I think the quantity is huge but if we manage to eat some combis and make it a balanced diet, I think we might be Ok seeing we r taking supplements too. Hope for the best.
Have a bank holiday Monday off so looking forward to the long weekend and putting my feet up!
Hope you guys get rest too!

Hi Simmi,

When I read this msg, I had exactly the same reaction as Avi...that is a whole lot of food for such a tiny being.

Anyways, I guess I'll have to start eating double or even three times of what I'm eating now.

Wow, this is great.......Thanks a lot Simmi...I need to print this one out and stick on my refridgerator (except the fats and sweets part :) ) or something to remind myself every day....
