1.making him sleep on the home made pillow full of musturd seeds(fill in musturd seed and seal the bag of plastic,,make sure that the bag doesnt get commpressed or tear off...thats how most people in india,,i knew,,,used to do...

OR,

I would rather recmnd you to buy a good pillow for your baby that is esp made for dshaped head or flat head..it has a round fit support just right for your baby.

2.every once a while very very gently press his hands in a way your both the hands are able to support his head well,,while sleeing..or in your lap. the gentle press should be very gentle but repeatedly..the grip of your hands should be like you hold the football !
and the pressing direction or let me say massagng direction should be round..

3. if you are in US, you get special helmets that are made for dshaped head..babiees are made to wear until they regain thr actual head shape...
but these are only on recmndations of your dr and not otherwise...so ask your dr if your baby needs one..
other than these, you are already doing a good job by making him sleep on both the sides alternately...

the dshaped head often goes off in many cases once the baby is able to flip himself from right to left and such,in sleep,,which is around 6-9months...so its not a big thing to worry about and its normal...

good luck !

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
